Life has its twists and turns and we all experience "the Journey" one step at a time. Growing up as a creative soul I studied painting from the age of 12 and danced ballet most of my childhood life. I have a degree from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas majoring in Fashion Illustration with a minor in art. Dabbling in art off and on throughout my life I have enjoyed many styles of painting. From the Monet type to portraits and everything in between, I am always excited about the next creation. On my spiritual journey I have discovered a Peace that passes understanding and I enjoy contemplative prayer and music that stirs the soul. I have led women's retreats, served on the board of Tarrant Net, an organization that unifies leadership in churches as well as business leaders across denominational, racial, socio-economic lines to make an impact in the city. I have organized many prayer events and I serve the homeless at Union Gospel Mission. Writing has always been a passion for me so I have written a book about the last six months of my Father's life as well as poetry. Sharing the love of God is at the heart of all I do and all I create. I love to express God's love through dance and have found several avenues for this which brings me great joy. I am a widow. I am currently writing about the grief journey of the last 2 years and plan to publish this work in the next 6 months. My family is full of children and grandchildren who point me in the right direction as I consider what is truly lasting and eternal relationships. My word for this year is "to make no plans-let the way unfold before you step by step." This is a new way of living for me and I am truly grateful for God's hand in hand walk with me as I journey on.
